Supporting the Development of a Circular Economy

ReUseChain.ba – The first digital platform for waste trading

ReUseChain.ba is the first and unique digital B2B platform in Bosnia and Herzegovina for trading secondary raw materials. Companies can list and source materials across 10 categories, achieve savings and generate revenue, and track estimated CO₂ reductions while accessing educational content. This pioneering initiative, through a concrete digital tool, opens a new market, keeps resources within the domestic economy, and sets new standards for sustainable business practices.

Even in its pilot phase, the platform has already attracted interest from companies across multiple sectors, listing secondary raw materials and waste, thereby beginning to build a digital bridge between supply and demand. This is the first step in opening a completely new market that can unlock economic potential while helping companies reduce waste management costs, find new suppliers, and enhance their sustainable reputation in the marketplace.

In addition to its practical functionalities, the platform offers educational content – ESG guides, glossaries, practical tips, and blogs – making it easier for companies to learn about the benefits of circular practices. For the business community in BiH, ReUseChain.ba represents a concrete call to action. Instead of valuable resources ending up in landfills or leaving the country, the platform provides a simple and efficient mechanism to keep them where they originated – becoming the foundation for a more sustainable economy.

Business Forum
In 2025, together with the Mozaik Foundation, we presented ReUseChain.ba, the first digital platform for trading secondary raw materials among companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a business forum. The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), through Finance in Motion in BiH, partnered in the project’s presentation and promotion.

The forum opened a dialogue on how waste can become a resource and an opportunity for domestic economic growth. Participants shared experiences, showcased best practices, and discussed circular economy trends, demonstrating that sustainability is not just a challenge, but also an opportunity for innovation and economic development.

From Waste to Value: Our ReUseChain.ba Exhibition Wins Three Awards at No Limit BH 2025

In Sarajevo, at the Aria Mall plateau, we presented the outdoor exhibition “From Waste to Value” for ReUseChain.ba, aiming to highlight the great potential that the circular economy holds for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through the exhibition, we also introduced ReUseChain.ba – the first digital platform for the exchange of secondary raw materials between companies.

Visitors were welcomed by a large glass box filled with eggshells, accompanied by the message “This is (not) waste.” When that same box transformed into a room filled with tables, lamps, chairs, and bowls made exclusively from eggshells, it became clear that this was not an ordinary exhibition, but a metaphor. Inside, a furniture collection by designer Maja Halilović demonstrated how an apparently worthless material can be turned into a functional and aesthetically valuable product.

The creative concept and strong message of the exhibition were also recognized by industry professionals. At the No Limit BH Advertising Festival 2025, our campaign was awarded three accolades:

  • Gold – All Forms of Outdoor Communication

  • Silver – Outdoor Advertising

  • Bronze – Social Good
